You can find gossip anywhere.

The office, church, friends, even your own family…no one is immune.

We often associate gossip as negative. If we are going to be politically correct, we would say that gossip is frowned upon.  However, even social scientists are finding that it has some benefits to society.  A Stanford study  determined that gossip can actually deter selfishness and encourage cooperation. Who knew?

While these benefits are interesting news no one wants to be the topic of such gossip. Gossip has bad connotations.  Gossip gone too far can turn into bullying and become a detriment to any environment. Gossip has a huge ICK factor.

However, there is a way to turn gossip upside down.

How to Build Creative Muscles (even if you aren’t artsy fartsy)

 

Everyone is capable of creativity.

While most people view creativity as something possessed by the artists of the world, most everybody has it to some degree.

So, yes, the painters, musicians, writers, and dancers are creative.  But so are the scientists, businessmen, teachers, managers, parents, accountants (hey, I didn’t say everyone uses their creativity for good), doctors, IT professionals, landscapers, architects, entrepreneurs,  nurses, craftsmen, lawyers, chefs, sales associates, administrators, and it can go on and on and on.

We are all born with creative abilities.  Some of us just have to work a little more to strengthen our creative muscles. Some of us forgot because we have been so busy coloring inside the lines.

How and Why You Should Negotiate Your Romantic Relationship

Have you ever seen that couple who is still bickering and fighting over the same issues year after year?  They swear they love each other but you keep wondering how they even like each other.  Why haven’t they moved on to bigger, better, and more peaceful things?  Chances are they each are making demands but no one is really negotiating a better way.

The word negotiate is probably the least romantic word in the dictionary.  It doesn’t usually pop up in conversation when you are talking infatuation and love in your life.  Surprisingly, it is the best way to navigate this sort of relationship. Everyone does it to some extent or another.  The better you are at it, the better your relationship becomes. Negotiation is just a means of achieving a solution that leaves each party getting the most out of a situation.
